Welcome to Swanmore Middle School

Swanmore County Middle School has maintained a reputation for high standards of academic achievement and a level of personalised learning and support for pupils that is legendary. Our first priority is to ensure your children are safe at school, but also to ensure they enjoy school whilst succeeding in many ways. I am proud of the staff and pupils of the Swanmore Middle School community and I hope you will be too.

Swanmore was judged as ‘Good’ in nearly every category for the Ofsted inspection in 2009 but we have continued to improve since then. Our aim is to provide an education for pupils to develop as:

· Successful learners

· Confident individuals

· Responsible citizens

We do this through our core values of:

· Care

· Creativity

· Challenge

We are constantly striving to be outstanding in as many categories as possible. Our visitors repeatedly comment on the purposeful working environment and calm atmosphere at Swanmore, and this observation was also made by Ofsted.

Pupils enjoy their education as Swanmore. Our creative curriculum in Key Stage 2 (years 5 and 6) and Opening Minds curriculum in Key Stage 3 (years 7 and 8) serve to engage pupils in purposeful work for real audiences. Plus, Swanmore gets results! We have improved both our Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 results since 2008.
